We are pleased to announce that Links SSP, a leading provider of school sport and PE support, will be joining the ISF partnership network. Links SSP will be offering sports coaching placements for students on our ISF Level 3 coaching course at our participating host sites.
As part of ISF’s ongoing commitment to offer our students practical work experience, our new partner Links SSP, will be offering students placements that will help them develop their coaching skills. Links prides itself on the quality of its coaching, providing an end-to-end service, supporting teachers and students with PE, as well as coaching a variety of sports disciplines.
Working across several school sites in Sheffield, ISF students will have the opportunity to shadow senior coaches, exploring the best methods to creating successful coaching environments. A few of the areas, students will have the opportunity to train in whilst on placement with Links SSP:
- Key methods for ensuring the safe set up and break down of a multitude of equipment
- Techniques for interaction that will maximise the impact they can have students that are engaged and unengaged in sport
- Planning, delivering, and reviewing PE and school sports sessions
- To understand and meet the expectations for employers and customers
