The ISF programme is a vocational programme designed to give post-16 students an opportunity to gain an industry-recognised qualification in sports coaching. The two-year programme offers a practical alternative to A-Levels and apprenticeships for students with a passion for sport and physical activity.

Students can take a variety of routes after their 2 years with us, whether further study, employment, or volunteer work. Our course includes practical experience in addition to the classroom. They’ll take part in work placements coaching tours, volunteering, and engage with universities.

The average week at our host venue Notre Dame School includes 2 days a week in Sixth Form and up to 10 hours spent on work placement with our partner businesses. Our host venue is brimming with the latest sports facilities including a fitness suite, sports hall and gym. All of which are made available, to help them improve their coaching skills.

Inspired by the importance of effective coaching in her athletic career, our ambassador Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill provides a myriad of support to students throughout the course. Including activities that will set them up for future success, students will have the option to engage with virtual workouts and social media sessions with the gold medallist herself.

And when it’s time for them to move on, we offer a guaranteed interview with a local employer for a permanent position. If they choose further study, the ISF programme is worth up to 96 UCAS points and with our partners Future USA Pro, we can offer global work opportunities.
