This month, Love to Ride, a global cycling community, is encouraging people across the UK to get on their bikes. The month-long event is aimed at getting more people on their bikes for the annual Bike Month challenge. All month, they’ll explore the benefits of improved physical and mental health and the benefits to the environment.
The challenge invites people of all cycling abilities to join the Love to Ride community, track their bike miles, set goals, and participate in friendly competitions. Participants can win prizes for riding and encouraging others to join them, with the goal of moving their workplace higher up the leaderboard against businesses of a similar size.
Love to Ride is providing resources to help people ride with confidence, including tips articles and quick courses. Love to Ride’s Bike Month challenge is supported by local councils and active travel teams across the UK, including in Wokingham and Cambridge.
We are calling on all local communities across Hull to get involved and #MakeEveryRideCount. Whether you’re a school or a local business we can help you get rolling this month. From Rusty Riders to our active travel Bikeability programmes, we can make every ride count!
