Road Safety Week 2024, organised by Brake, will take place from the 17th to the 23rd of November. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the severe impact of road crashes, which claim lives and seriously injure around 30,000 people a year in the UK.
This year, they’ll be focussing on the impact of these tragedies, but we want to help everyone, whether cycling, wheeling or walking, stay safe on their local roads. Joining Modeshift for free is not just about the accreditation. It’s about shifting your school’s aim to create a positive environment for active travel and sustainable practices in your school community.
Partner with First Step Cycle and we can help you meet your active travel goals. Statistics show that active pupils are more alert, respectful of their local environment and most importantly, better learners.
We know that parents and guardians are worried about road safety. So, we can work with you to get active travel on their radar, by offering you Bikeability training levels that improve a child’s confidence. We also provide sessions on all active travel safety measures including walking and scooting.
Looking to move towards Net Zero and reduce congestion at the gates? With the Modeshift STARS scheme, we can help you achieve this. We’ll work with you to create a tailored school travel plan that supports your sustainability goals and recognises your school’s commitment to excellence through accreditation.
