Frog Bikes, a children’s bicycle company, has partnered with Hull City Council to offer bikes to school children in Hull. The Frog bikes were presented to schools as part of their recent ‘Kid Alert’ programme and were awarded to four schools in the area.
First Step Sports coordinated the programme, offering the awards as part of a competition aimed at helping support pupils with their transition from Year 6 to Year 7. Participants heard several important safety presentations from the NHS, Network Rail, RNLI, Humberside Fire & Rescue, Safer Roads Humber, Hull City Council & Hull Road Safety.
This is part of our ongoing commitment to bring safe, active travel to children across Hull City. Presentations included those on cycle safety, wearing a helmet and safety talks on general health, fire and road safety.
Bikes were awarded to Stockwell Primary School, St. Anthony’s Primary School, Chiltern Primary School and St. Mary’s Primary School. Cycling is an important life skill that can help everyone live longer, healthier lives.
