Kids Takeover parent Liz Cooper, describes her experience with us

“He absolutely loves the camps! He says the ‘big boy teachers’ are fun and he enjoys the games you do with them.”

The Parent

Sometimes holiday camps can be more than just a place to take care of your kids while you’re away. They can provide a place to give your children room to grow and enjoy themselves outside the confines their own home environment. We spoke to one of our parents Liz, to get her feedback about using Kids Takeover camps.

Liz occasionally uses our camp at Tranby School and has done over the past few months as an occasional treat for her son. She predominantly uses a childminder, however, to give him some variety she sometimes books onto camps during the school holidays, too.

What did they say?

Liz initially enquired about Kids Takeover earlier this year when she was looking for something different for her son to do. It would provide an opportunity for him to mix with people he didn’t know and socialise outside of his normal school social bubble through team games and sports.

As with many children, he loves the ball games on offer and when he attends the camps Liz can usually feel the buzz of excitement when it comes to picking him up at the end of the day. It’s clear that he has had a day full of activity because by the time they reach home he’s tired and ready to put his feet up!

Key highlight for other parents

When we asked Liz about her thoughts on the camps from a parent’s perspective, she noted the great value for money at just £16 per day (9.30 – 4.30).

To add to that, the wrap around care on offer is something that is helpful for before and after the set times as it provides her with that extra bit of time in the day for work and other commitments.

“The camps are very well organised, and the staff are very good with them all. I would recommend the service to other parents and already have done.”
